BUST
This is a measurement of the fullest part of your bust or body circumference at the bust. It is a body measurement which measures the circumference of a woman's torso at the level of the breasts.
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust and center the tape on your back so it's levelled all the way around.
*Tips
This isn't your bra size!
Your arms should be relaxed, and down at your sides.
Wear the bra you're planning to wear with your dress when taking this.
WAIST
This is a measurement of your natural waistline, or the smallest part of your waist.
Run tape around natural waistline, keeping tape parallel with floor. Bend to one side to find natural indentation in torso. This is your natural waist.
HIPS
This is a measurement around fullest part of your buttocks.
Wrap tape around the fullest part of your hips, which is usually 7-9" below your natural waistline. Keep tape parallel with floor all the way around.
HOLLOW TO HEM
This is the distance from your hollow to the hem of the dress.
Hold the measuring tape at your hollow while a friend pulls it down to the length you want your dress.
*Tips:
When taking this measurement, stand straight with your feet together.
We define knee length as the area just below your knee caps.
Measuring too high may result in a dress that is too short.
If this is a floor length dress please make sure you measure without wearing shoes.
BACK SHOULDER WIDTH
This is the distance from the edge of the left shoulder across to the prominent neck bone located at the center of the back of the neck continuing to the edge of the right shoulder.
Place the tape on "top" of the shoulders. Measure from the edge of the left shoulder across to the prominent neck bone located at the center of the back of the neck continuing to the edge of the right shoulder.
SLEEVE LENGTH
This is the measurement from your shoulder seam to where you would like your sleeve to end.
Measure from your shoulder seam to desired sleeve length with your arm relaxed by your side to get the best possible measurement.
*Tips:
Measure with your arm slightly bent.
ARMSCYE
This is the measurement of your armhole.
*Tips:
In order to take your armscye measurement, you must wrap the measuring tape over the top of your shoulder and around under your armpit.
ARM CIRCUMFERENCE
This is a measurement around the fullest part of your upper arm.
*Tips:
Measure with the muscle relaxed.

Update! At first, I put that it was small, but nope! My mom and I just didn't realize we could pull the lace up corset as roughly as our seamstress did. It literally fits perfectly! I'm still planning on posting pics from the wedding so that this can be a full-scale review for shoppers. So! Only alterations I'm making is to shorten the skirt in the front since I'm short and also want to see my custom shoes. Replacing the back panel under the lacing to purple just for a little color pop against the dark green. Lastly, adding a bustle to the back so that the train is not dragging during the reception. The dress was literally made that perfectly. Buy it, buy it, buy it!
I'll add pics once I'm done with alterations or maybe from the wedding. It did come in small, but I was expecting imperfections and having to do alterations, plus I'm having a sneaky custom piece done to it. (I'm bigger but have small boobies and medium-ish hips, so fitting into a gown, no matter what, is hard!). But! I can tell you, that with my first "fitting", I was so happy I cried. The quality is really great, sturdy material. The color is vivid and gorgeous. I felt like a princess. The seller has great communication. And you just can't beat the price! So! Although small, I'm still giving a 5-star. Get this dress! You will not be disappointed!
I wore this gown for our engagement photos in the color Peacock in a size 4. For reference I'm about 5ft 8in wearing 3-4in heels. I'm a true size 4. I had originally ordered it in an 8 & lost weight & had to buy another. But they were both true to size. But they're also corset backed so the size is pretty forgiving. It was cold out for our shoot but it's a nicer thicker material that didn't make me miserable. I love the pockets. My only complaint is that the under skirt is too long in my opinion & I would have it hemmed. I simply folded it up to expose more of my leg during our shoot but for an event I'd hem.
I am also having my bridesmaids wear this gown for my wedding in Dark Green. They all ordered them in different sizes & at different times & I side by side color matched all of them & they're perfect. My only complaint is the 'Dark Green' color is basically true Emerald. Slightly brighter than I would have preferred. Overall I'm an obvious fan of the gown.
This gown shipped quicker than we expected and is made of amazing quality. We actually purchased a different gown at a bridal shop (for over $250) and then returned it when this one came in because this one is just soooo beautiful. Very flattering, well made, gorgeous color, etc. It is VERY long so even the tallest of the tall ladies would not be disappointed in this gown. Great purchase. Highly recommend. We got dusty rose. The wedding is this weekend. It does come extremely wrinkled from the shipping so I will try to post a photo from the wedding.
I was so nervous when my mother said she wanted this dress for my wedding but as you can see it was a show stopper! She got it steamed and cut some of the extra fabric on the train of the dress and that’s it! She took the string out the back and re laced the dress to fit her. Worth the price!
I have worn this dress on so many occasions. I even ordered it in emerald green. No bra is needed for this dress due to the corset in the back. I’m a 46DDD. And look at my girls and how they are sitting up 🙌🏾🤩 it’s very long but I wore 2 inch heels and that helped. I’m 5’7. When walking upstairs be careful and the slip under the dress I tucked in my underwear cuz I was feeling sexy that day. 😉
